I've been doing it a lil already and just running the long way. Slowly working my way through agility though. Will be much nicer once I can sue the shortcut!

Probably! I'll likely sprinkle in some souls or ZMI if I get bored or for things like SOTW, but otherwise I think general consensus when I asked in cc was it's best to stay at bloods and profit from your suffering.
