First 99, I pick... RC!?

Hi all Figured we could all enjoy my dumb choice.

I'm at the point where I want a 99 in something just to have a 99 in something. I couldn't decide what to do so I started cooking because it's fast. But then Bear told me I'd look like a major noob getting 99 cooking as my first 99 so I cried myself to sleep and decided on... runecrafting.

Currently at level 49.
My goals atm are to get the level requirements (nearly there!) so I can complete the quest Lunar Diplomacy to get my ZMI teleport to make that grind more efficient.

just tell bear he's the noob, cooking was my first 99 bc purple is the best color :p

good luck on 99 rc though! would be an awesome untrimmed cape, that's for sure

Best of luck on the grind to 99! I can't wait until I get 77 Runecrafting so I can get on the Bloods ez train myself.

Honestly 99 Runecraft as first 99 is the antithesis of 99 Cooking as first 99, but in all honesty, compared to Cooking, no one can mock you for having Runecraft as the first, you will be the one that can go like: "What?.. You got Fishing as your first 99? PFFFTTT! Noob!" *Untrimmed Runecrafting flaps in the wind as you stylishly walk away*

Good luck on the journey ! And on the positive side: It will make you rich meaning you can get 99 in pretty much all buyable skills afterwards

Another 99 cooking firstcaper checking in here. Think of it as a stepping stone that will allow your first *real* 99 cape to be trimmed

Yeah I looked at how much it would cost to get 99 prayer, then laughed, then picked rc :D

untrimmed RC is like the Runescape embodiment of patience. Gl my guy, it's pretty smooth sailing from 77.

Once you get to 77 you'll be printing money and it'll be much more chill. I'm trying to get there myself, good luck and enjoy the grind

As someone with an untrimmed RC cape, I can only approve of your excellent choice.

Obtaining 99 RC will be long (arguably the longest and most tedious 99 to get), but it's also one of the most impressive! I have to say that going for that first is definitely the greatest idea

Although for the record no one is a noob for going for Cooking first! Cooking and Fletching are indeed two of the most common first 99's, but there's nothing wrong with that

Do you plan on trying to do Blood RC when you can or doing ZMI throughout to 99?

I wouldn't phrase it quite that way. I wanted an alt that made gp and I wanted an untrimmed RC cape. At least you get to do ZMI, I went a much slower route.
