Intro - Returning player
Hey y'all, I'm returning to the game after about a 2 year break. I played on and off for a while in the 2004-2007 era. I came back full bore, I believe in late 2016, but then only played very sporadically 2018-present. But I'm feeling the itch pretty bad again this time.
My name is Greg, character DontBlinkk in game. I'm 30 years old, live in Connecticut, and work in IT Security for now. Currently I work remotely from home, OSRS is great for the down time, or whenever really.
I've always been a fairly relaxed player, I believe everyone should play the game the way they enjoy. Although I occasionally do it to an extent, I'm not always a fan of maximizing efficiency, etc. I'm a big fan of skilling (except Hunter), questing, and slayer, I haven't done much bossing content but I enjoy the easier, lower stress stuff. If I'm not working, I'm usually watching a movie or a show while playing, so I don't always pay full attention. But I'm looking forward to getting back into the game, relearning some stuff, catching up on these new quests and content, and chattin' with some of y'all.

Hey Greg, thanks for posting, and welcome to the clan. Here's hoping you stick around this time. RS seems to be a great fit with the WFH crowd.
I totally get your playstyle, by the way. There are times I like to do things efficiently, sure, but it's rarely my #1 priority. I get burnt out way too easily to maintain the necessary level of sweatiness
Lots of excellent quests have been added since you last played. Definitely check out the continuations of the Elf/Myreque questlines, Song of the Elves and Sins of the Father, if you haven't already. Quests aren't normally my thing, but I'll wholeheartedly recommend both of those every chance I get.

Hey Greg,
Welcome back to OSRS, and welcome to clan!
I'm pretty much always multi-tasking as well while playing OSRS, such as watching a show or working on homework. Probably one of the main reasons I continue to play. I can still get other stuff done that I need to unlike most games. And when I get the itch to done something rather focus heavy, that's always an option too
Be seeing ya

Hi Greg,
Like you, I've been playing RuneScape for awhile - off and on since 2006 for me though I didn't start playing OSRS until around the time it was released on mobile.
Also like you, I'm a relaxed player and don't concern myself with efficiency. Again like you, I enjoy skilling and questing (though I dislike slayer).
The clan is quite active and there's always someone to chat with. Welcome to the clan.

Welcome Greg! Been playing on and off since 06 myself. Recently started playing again after a 2-3year break and am learning all the new items, quests, mechanics, etc etc.
Grinding is alright sometimes but above all else, have fun!
See ya around
