Commission Staking - Know Your Risks

Hello wonderful clannies! Many of us know what staking is but what is commission staking and why is it viewed negatively? Well I'm glad you asked! Commission Staking is when a player loans another player gp to stake for them for many reasons (Levels too low, Bad Reputation at the arena, Scamming, ect.) in exchange for a commission of the winnings of the stake which is unwanted and bannable  if done with ill intent due to most of these offenders being gold farmers, scammers and of course RWT that is clearly against the rules of OSRS.

This topic has been touched on by jmods for a long time and was touched on again in 2019 when I was made aware and since then I've learned many of our beloved clannies are also unaware so this is for all of you that didn't know to keep you all as safe as possible.

Although you could be trying to help someone make their big break at the sand casino and have the best intentions doing so the other person may not have the same intentions and guilty of RWT or another offense which surely comes back to your very own account. It would break our hearts to see any of you falsely lose your account while simply trying to help someone else so know your risk! I was unable to find the stream it was touched on in 2019 but I did find a nice dusty vid from 5 years ago for TL;DR more or less.

Gold farming...despite....Staking is no bueno all the time for me. It's a trap.
