Hello all!

Hi! I've been lurking in the clan chat and occasionally contributing since about March of this year, and I love the community and how kind and respectful everyone is. You all have been really helpful as I've inched toward getting that sweet, sweet quest cape, and you all seem like an awesome group to boss and skill and socialize with once I get some more experience! I aim to graduate from lurker to contributor and I hope I can contribute to this great community that's helped me a ton since coming back. I'm looking forward to being more involved

What goals are you working on in-game at the moment?

I'm only six quests away from the quest cape! That's the main priority right now. I'm still not super confident with my pvm skills so I've been dipping my toes into simple bosses--the bosses from all of the oldschool exclusive grandmaster quests are way more intense than I was used to back in 2009 or so! So I suppose my short term priorities are to get to base 70 skills for SOTE, and then to finally finish all of those. I mostly come to RS to relax and shut my brain off a little after my workday so I'm happy to slowly but slowly work toward those

Welcome, are those 6 quests all the latest, hardest ones? Because you're in for some treats Don't do as I did and take the time to learn the boss mechanics, it'll make the fights a lot easier. The bosses' difficulty has increased since the time of Elvarg, but they're still expected to be easily doable by a mid game (70s skills/85 combat) account.

Sidenote your name also catches my eye whenever you get in cc. I don't know why but I find it funny.

Thank you for the welcome, everyone! And thank you for the advice, Rick. I remember that back when the first Nomad quest came out in RS2 I tried to rush things and got blown away probably 15-20 times before getting lucky once. Fingers crossed I don't have the same problems with DS2/MM2/SOTE/SOTF!

With DS2 you just have to watch out for firebombs. MM2 honestly you can basically kite or safespot all the fights. SotE is just a matter of knowing the cycle, you're more likely to die from running out of supplies than from the boss hitting too much too fast. SotF I can't speak from experience because I forced myself to just tank all the damage instead of using the mechanics to help me. Hence my previous comment. But I have seen people do it using the mechanics and it's a lot easier.
