I was browsing through the official forums after trying to recover/remember my account pass etc.
Ran across you guys & I'm liking what I see so far! Love the forums look & feel(I used to frequent forums a lot back in the day.)

Long story short...Been playing on and off for a while. This time around I plan to keep playing. I work graveyards and have a family so mobile is just the way to go for me, Though I do play on pc too occasionally. The thing I hate about OSRS the most is quests lol followed by learning PVM.
Which is why I joined...
I really want to experience PVM... What quickly destroys me is prayer switching especially on mobile it is very tedious but I do understand its a mechanic of the game. I've always been embarrassed to PVM. Everybody's a pro in OSRS & just haven't found a community i felt really helped me achieve my goals though some did come close.

Hey LykeWyze. Just saw ya on Discord a moment ago. Nice to have you! Not everybody's a fan of the forums (understatement of the year), but it's nice to hear complimentary stuff now and again.

We've had a few people joining lately that mostly stick to mobile (including a UIM of all people). Definitely not my thing, and I can see why it'd be especially unsuited to questing and PVM. I can barely do a birdhouse run or even chat in CC reliably; genuinely have no idea how you manage, haha.

And yeah, I get it. I've never been a PVM expert by any means, and I still get nervous when I'm learning new content or doing stuff with a group. But people are friendly here, and usually happy to teach anyone who's willing to listen. You're not gonna lose anything by trying I'd be happy to try out some (comparitively) easy stuff sometime, if you'd like. Stuff like Corp, GWD, Sarachnis, should all be decent introductions if you're just after a bit of experience. We also do a kind of variety clan mass event every Saturday, which is an excellent low-stakes introduction to lots of different bossing content. I'd check out the #saturday-event channel on Disc if you haven't already. Aaaand, I'm sure others will have their own input to offer here as well.

Yeah great job on the site and forums most definately goes unoticed. I tried GWD a while back and failed miserably i didnt do enough research died couple of times and that was that lol. I did get my firecape but trust me when i say that was mission impossible within itself especially on mobile. Im going to try be active talk to some people hopefully make new friends and explore learn pvm,knock out quests(hate questing in osrs lol). Tyvm for the info and encouragement!

Welcome aboard! It's always refreshing to see some people still enjoy forums like these (as Syllabic said, that's not as common nowadays)

I'd say it is impressive that you were able to even get a fire cape on mobile. I tried it once and wouldn't have completed it if I did not have the Karamja elite diary for the revive to save me, lol. Provided that you were able that, I imagine with practice you would be able to tackle much more PvM content as well!

Yeah with the firecape it just took learning the spawns and kiting,using the safespots efficiently etc. Alot of times i logged out took a break and tried again. Thats actually another thing i have to work on is diaries.

Congrats on getting a fire cape on mobile, can't wait to see the inferno cape achieved too
PvM content is usually not something you can just tackle blindly, GWD bosses all have their own unique mechanics. Luckly our clan events visit the place and masses make quick work of the bosses even with unskilled fighters among the group. That's how I got my first Graardor and K'ril kills.

I feel called out, and you should definitely do your quests.
There is enough information available to make most puzzles and challenges trivial, and they unlock a ton of great content.

Don't worry not everyone is a PvM pro. The beauty is in learning, after that its very tedious imo.

Hey man - welcome to our community! To be fair, PvM is generally more difficult over mobile but of course still doable! As others have said, we have people around who are happy to help show you the ropes to different bosses - myself included! We wrapped up our weekly Saturday event today, and it was a learner-friendly Nightmare mass. Check out our discord if our weekly events are something that interests you.
