Hello Im CursedDonkey

Hello, I am CursedDonkey.
I am new to OSRS and MMO's in general, so far am loving it. I do not have much time to play, but I have been trying to keep a schedule in my hectic life.
I am a pretty casual player and looking forward to being apart of the clan. My only real goal is to have fun, and get a 99 someday. Not sure which skill yet, as I have been experimenting with each. I am also a Hardcore Ironman, which I have been told many times will be more challenging. Which I am looking forward too. Anyways see you all in-game

Hey! I've noticed your name in CC a few times now. Nice to see you on the forums. This game is about a million times better when you've got people to share it with. Gets even better once you've gotten more comfortable and start making friends! (and if I can do that, anyone can, lol) I would have quit long ago if I didn't have that sense of community keeping me going.

Casual is good! Especially when you're just starting. Focusing on enjoying the experience, rather than optimizing it, is what keeps the game fun after hundreds, even thousands of hours, at least in my opinion. Sure, I could have maxed already when you take into account my time played. But that's not why I play. I just do what I enjoy, or what I feel motivated to do in the moment. Goals are great, but at the end of the day it's a game, not a job

Now, with that rant out of the way, what 99 are you aiming for? I'm pretty clueless when it comes to ironmen, but I feel like I see Thieving quite a lot, since they need the cash and it's pretty low-stakes. Plus, sick purple cape.

Anyway, nice to meet you, glad to have you, and best of luck holding onto that hardcore status. We've had a few deaths recently; don't become a statistic!

@Syllabic I am not entirely sure which 99 I wish to go for just yet! There is so much to take it, i get sidetracked quite often in a sense of awe and curiosity. You are entirely correct about it be a better experience with more people. I like the sense of community and friendship. It is the cherry on top for me.

Ahh, all you hardcore ironmen make me want to start playing on my hardcore again. I definitely will again once summer hits. You should also ask Purple Dude if you have any questions or tips about staying alive. He's made it insanely far, and I'm sure he would have tons of great tips for ya

Nothing wrong with being a more casual player as Syllabic said, it's about the people you meet (even as an ironman, as crazy as it may sound, having other people to talk with during the grind has kept me around and motivated). We've had some silly moments in the cc that I still chuckle about to this day, and I wouldn't ever want that to change!

You sure you don't have a dossier on me or something? You're not just cherry-picking all the stuff you know I like hearing? Seriously though, make sure you savour that early-game sense of discovery. I don't miss my old RS2 account, because it sucked and so did I (still kinda do!). But I do miss what I felt while playing it. Nostalgia is tough.

Actually has me wondering; are you planning on following an Ironman progression guide at any point? A lot of people seem to do that these days, since the early-game especially is so drastically different to what it's like on a main, and because we love optimizing the fun out of everything. I can't say much on it one way or the other, but it might be worth looking into at some point down the line, even just for giving you a general idea of what to prioritize. Either that, or just bug one of our resident high-level irons I guess. They seem to know everything anyway.

Hey Cursed! Glad to have you here, being a part of a social clan definitely makes this game better. Grinding for a 99 can be exciting and playing an ironman is a totally different game. I just made a hardcore myself and I'm loving it. Keep us posted, and see you in game
