Why, hello there.
Hey guys,
I'm told this is where I'm supposed to introduce myself. My name is Bawzji/Bawz, I'm currently working on maxing and plan to PvM/pet hunt afterwards. I'm from the United States and am doing health policy research from my house at the present (thanks, COVID). I like to think of myself as the best giphy-user on the planet, so you are all pre-emptively welcome for that.
That's all I got. Now...
(let_me_in.gif, I can't post external links for 7 days, so you will all have to imagine it)

(Quick, somebody get Bear to take away this guy's link privileges permanently)
Thanks for the sign-up, Bawz. Looking forward to your maxing party in the nearish future, provided you decide to stick around. Which pet do you figure you'll go for first once you've got that out of the way?
I think I only have the barest understanding of what your job entails, but it sounds pretty important, haha. This a government job, then? Private institute? Student? Can you tell I have no idea what I'm talking about?
Anyway, happy to have you. Good luck getting those final levels out of the way.

Re: Why, hello there.
Thanks for the warm welcomes. I'm hoping to max in around 10 days, only have herb (current grind), crafting, and prayer left. Well, and 1 defense level, but I'm saving that to max on a cow.
My most desired pets are vorki, hydra, cerb, and baby chin. I also love the nightmare pet, but not sure when/if I will grind nightmare. I'll prob grind out either woodcutting or mining pet when I want to afk. Right now though, my priority is maxing.
I recently finished my MD/MPH and am working for the school of public health on my project, so it's through a public institution. I am debating going back to school for my PhD in public health with a focus on health policy, so I'm trying to stay closely aligned with the school to ease any transitions. Part of my research is looking into the impact of COVID (and subsequent policies) on health outcomes of underinsured individuals. Unfortunately, this involves a lot of looking at a spreadsheet with "YES" and "NO".

Re: Why, hello there.
Welcome man! Super close to maxing then I hear you're going to start raiding?
Glad to see you jump right into our events by signing up for sotw. Our clan does a lot of fun stuff all the time (a 3 week long PvM bingo/challenge thing just ended a few hours ago). But these happen every few months and are just a blast to participate in.
I hope you enjoy your time with us

Hey Bawz,
Welcome to the offsite! Maxing is one of my goals as well, though I figure I'm at least a year out from that. One day though...
Pretty cool stuff, by the way. I took a public health class as an elective in undergrad. It was fascinating to be honest - learned lots about the behind the scenes stuff that goes on in that area. I'm in grad school myself in an Allied Health related field, and COVID definitely has impacted the amount of in-person clinic I've done these past few months, but I've had more time to play OSRS which is the upside. It's been a weird experience so far, to say the least haha.
Anyway, be seeing you in game. And best of luck on the maxing goal!

Hi Bawz,
It's great to meet you here on the offsite. Good luck with your goals of maxing (you're close!) and on your pet hunting.

Hello Hermes bawz, hope you're having a good time in the cc! although you've pretty much beat the game already, you finally get to play it when you do! and i hope you don't have too much difficulty getting the pet rock or the goldfish, i hear they're elusive! Good luck!
