Hello darkness my old friend

Hey all,

After playing in 06-07 as a 12-13 year old, I quit when Jagex took away free trade. I was interested when OSRS came out and made an account but didn't really start playing hardcore again. Since Covid hit though I started playing again as I've had a lot of free time.

My 3 goals for my account were:

1. Fire Cape
2. Quest Cape
3. My first 99 Skill

I've got the fire cape, got about 20 quests left, and am sitting at 88 farming, so I'm well on my way. Have enjoyed talking to you all in game, having a good cc definitely makes the grinding a lot more enjoyable!

Welcome back Sajnin! I too started playing Runescape as a kid (I was like 5 though lmao).

Sick set of goals, and you're already well on your way to completing them! Any idea what you'll want to do moving forward?

Hey Sajnin, nice to see you on here. I played into the restricted-trade era a little bit, but most of my friends had already quit by that point anyway, so I didn't last long. Been playing a lot more since a work injury last year, and COVID has (somewhat unfortunately) extended that time allowance. Not all bad, of course. Met some good people.

Some good progress so far! More than enough to make 11 year old me supremely jealous. I also have around 20 quests left, though the QPC isn't really one of my goals. Been taking my sweet time

Anyway, glad you're enjoying the CC, and good luck with the Farming gains. Pretty cool first 99.

Honestly, once I've got these three done, I'll probably start doing a lot of slayer and trying some bossing to make some fat $$$.

Yeah I was just doing farming to 70 for Song of the Elves, I honestly never touched farming back in the day, I didn't even know how to start, had to read a guide. But I ended up loving it, find it super relaxing. I wanted to try things in the game that I didn't try when I played before, so I thought 99 farming would be a good one.

Thanks for the intro! I started playing at a similar age. Pretty crazy to think about how all these years have past and we still manage to come back to RS. 

Those are some solid goals, by the way. Nice to see you already hit the first, and are on your way to the 2nd and 3rd. Not sure if you use guides or not when questing, but Slayermusiq has been a savior for me. I still don't have a quest cape, but I know if it weren't for his guides, I would probably still not have barrows gloves, lol.

I'm pretty sure my farming was literally 1 for most of my RS2 playtime, lol. I remember doing some of the questing later on, but it always escaped me as a kid for whatever reason. It's far from my favourite, even since getting 99, but I have a healthy respect for the skill nowadays. Nice passive moneymaker, and a good excuse to take a break from tedious grinds. The cape is good for quick banking if you don't have a better alternative, too.

Not really sure, honestly some of them I've never even seen before. Back when I started playing the only bosses were Jad, KQ and mole, and I never even did those haha.

We started playing around the same time - since 2006 for me though I didn't start playing OSRS until around the time it was released on mobile.

Congratulations on acquiring your fire cape! Good luck on your goals of obtaining the quest cape and achieving 99 farming as your first 99. Welcome to the clan.
