Hello, Everyone!

Hello, ladies and gentlemen. My name is vToTeNkOpFv (pronounced "Totenkopf"), and I'm excited to hopefully join the clan! I'm a 25 year old guy from the southeast US. I originally played RS from ~2006-2011 time frame, on and off, but I eventually quit after being hacked and subsequently getting banned on my main account.

After graduating high school, I went into the USMC where I spent four years working in artillery and on the rifle range. Obviously, I did not have much time nor ability to play then, lol. I'm now married and finishing up a degree in nursing, while working part time at a hospital as a tech.

I recently (like a month ago) randomly saw an advertisement, and with everything going on, decided to download the client and give it a shot, using my pure account. It seems like most, if not all, of my friends from before have quit, etc., so I'm definitely looking to meet new people and I CERTAINLY could use all the advice you can give me because I feel absolutely lost so far.

As for stats, I'm combat level 94, however, I have 99 magic and 96 range (soon to be 99), so I'm a semi-range tank build thus far, although I expect to branch out into melee eventually.

Hi Totenkopf! I also started playing RuneScape in 2006 and continued when it transitioned into RS2/RS3/EOC so we were playing around the same time. I'm sorry to hear your main account got hacked but it's great you're starting again in OSRS. I started playing OSRS around the time it was released on mobile and have been enjoying it immensely.

It sounds like you've made a nice start with your range and magic levels ~ congrats on 99 magic!

Welcome aboard! Yeah getting hacked is definitely something that would cause anyone to consider quitting especially if the account was also irrevocably banned. Happy that you decided to come back to the game! And happy that you decided to join this fantastic CC! I'm sure you will have a wonderful time!

I'm also sorry to hear that your main got hacked and subsequently banned but I cannot give you a warm enough welcome back to Oldschool - just make sure to have a bank pin and 2-factor authentication enabled on your account! It even goes a long way having 2-factor authentication activated on the email address you have linked to your account for that extra layer of protection (great to have in general but obviously useful for your OSRS account!)

Working in artillery and on the rifle range sounds awesome haha, did you enjoy your time doing that? Bet you learnt a lot of good skills other than just shooting a gun Congratulations on getting married (whenever that was) and another congratulations for finishing up a degree in nursing - it's a fantastic profession and you should know that your work, although I'm in the UK, is really appreciated by everybody!

Getting hacked is seriously horrible -- but the rebuild process does have its "up" moments. Our clan is a very chill place to hang out -- no doubt you will meet many cool peeps along the way.

Hey Totenkopf. Sorry for the slightly late response. Glad you signed up!

Sounds like you've worked a series of very rewarding jobs. A military career goes without saying for most people, I think, but nurses often don't get the respect they deserve. I sincerely hope it works out well for you. Without a doubt one of the most noble careers you can pursue, if you ask me!

And yeah, I had exactly the same problem you did when I first came back. Knew literally nobody that still played, which was a huge disappointment. Lots of good memories from back in the day of meeting online friends. Hard not to wonder at times where they are now, but if you're anything like me you'll end up wishing you'd joined the clan earlier! Met some truly fantastic friends in the year or so I've been here, and I'm sure you will too

As for advice, never be afraid to ask. People are always happy to help, because we've all been there at one point or another. Truthfully, it sounds like your account is pretty well situated already, at least as far as combat skills are concerned. You'll be back into the swing of things in no time I'm sure!
