Greetings !
Nice to meet you all !
Stalked your CC a bit a few months ago when i tried the game out and wanted to thank you for all the tips and help you gave me back then.
Just started playing again and decided to try my luck and join the forums
My first experience with runescape was many many years ago through Miniclip.com during computer classes.
Don't think i fully understood the game back then but that experience has stuck with me through out the years.
I am now back and fully hooked ! I've been working my way through the huge number of quests and getting my self ready for Dragon slayer I
I hope you folks don't mind my hanging around and asking dumb questions

Re: Greetings !
Hey Frog! I've noticed you in the CC a little bit recently. Nice to see you on the offsite as well.
I think a lot of people found the game in exactly the same manner, haha. Definitely have fond memories of crowding around the computer lab during lunchtime, playing Runescape until the teacher kicked us out. I knew next to nothing about the game back then (I remember being amazed at my friend's whip and trimmed rune armour), but obviously it imprinted on me in some way despite that, because I'm hooked all over again years later
Best of luck with the questing grind! Definitely smart to get those out of the way ASAP. Especially Dragon Slayer. Gotta flex that rune platebody, after all, haha.
And of course, feel free to ask all the questions you like! That's why we're here. Go ahead and check us out on Discord as well, if that's something you use. Great bunch of people on there, some fun events, and I imagine you'll find the new advice channel rather helpful while you're still working through the early game.
Best of luck on your journey

Thank you !
Felt really weird to come back. Lumbridge was especially weird. The music brought me way back.

Re: Greetings !
Nice to meet you too Frog and welcome to OSRS Advice!
We've had exactly the same introduction to the game via miniclip haha, way back in 2006! Makes me feel so old saying that haha but must remember that being in your 20s is still considered very young so
No such thing as a dumb question, especially here in the clan! Wishing you all the best for your current grind towards DS1 and beyond My PM is always on if you need anything so don't hesitate to pop me a message anytime with a question or just a hey
Take care bud and I'll catch you in the cc soon hopefully!
Best,
Mitch

Re: Greetings !
Hi Frog! Like you, I've been playing RuneScape for awhile - since 2006 for me and continuing when it transitioned into EOC, which I played for years. I didn't start playing OSRS until around the time it came out on mobile. As you said, starting again being in Lumbridge and hearing the music brought me way back.
In spite of already having 160 quest points at the time, I didn't complete Dragon Slayer I until combat level 67 because I didn't want dragons for slayer tasks. Turned out I inadvertently started it when I got an anti-dragon shield from the Duke and didn't realize it until Vannaka assigned me blue dragons. Oops! At that point I figured I might as well complete the quest and at least now I can finally wear my Guthix platebody.
Doing what was considered the pinnacle quest again was very nostalgic. I'm sure you'll enjoy doing it again as well. Good luck on your quest journey!
