Discord Overlay in Runelite

While chatting with some folks, we were discussing how beneficial it would be to have a discord overlay when raiding or doing whatever. So after much googling.. Here's what I found!

Note: This won't work with all computers.

BONUS: If you're streaming, it will say you're live and who is watching.

It'll look something like this when done:

To start, click the settings in the lower left on Discord:

Go to Overlay in App Settings to ensure that the enable overlay is toggled:

Go to ~~Game Activity~~ Registered Games in ~~App Settings~~ Activity Settings and click "Add it!" to add your Runelite / Runescape game (It may be your RSN, but you can then click it to change it to Runelite or something else if you'd like).

How to change the name from your RSN to RuneLite, or whatever you'd like:

Make sure you click the Toggle for the overlay to be enabled.

After about 10 seconds or so you'll see the follow appear on Runelite / Runescape:

Use the shortcut set in the Overlay settings page / what is shown in the above screenshot to bring up the full discord overlay. You can then hold and drag the voice chat panel elsewhere on the screen. I find that below the minimap is the best spot for me.

--- Troubleshooting ---
If your overlay is not showing up, try to toggle the GPU plugin in Runelite.

Solid guide, thanks for this mate. I'll now know when Cam is flaming me for spending all my time runecrafting instead of doing combat related activities Razz
