Those are huge! Years ago I started learning, and I did a scarf. It took me like a month lol.

I make them at this time as gifts for family and babies of friends. It could take me from a week to a month depending on if my hands cooperate. I like to think each one is a warm hug from me.

The top one has me really puzzled as to how you created that design, and was it made as one piece or is it squares?. Really lovely.

That one is strips, 10 panels. The pattern confused me at first but was easy after I figured it out. I can send you the pattern if you would like. The crosses are made with variegate yarn which makes it look more complicated.

These are lovely! Especially the top one. I'd be interested in finding out how you managed that pattern as well.

My grandmother used to quilt and knit almost constantly. She was often rather slow at finishing projects though, because she'd often move onto something else before finishing her current one. I remember it took her almost 7 years to finish knitting a blanket, albeit a very large one

Rennie, those are lovely. <3 I think you viewing them as a warm hug from you is a beautiful sentiment. My step-mother made crochet afghans as gifts for friends and family. I still have two of them that I'll always treasure.
