The Greatest 99 Party!

Hey clannies, I hope everyone is well at their time of reading this

First off, I want to apologise for being so MIA in terms of my clan activity compared to how I usually am or have been since joining. A fair few of you guys will know that I set myself a goal of achieving 99 agility and I'm sure that those who remembered/followed my last 99 journey (farming) will remember how dedicated I can be to these. Because agility takes so much time/focus/clicking it's made keeping active in the clan chat and posting on the bump thread/offsite difficult to manage. This, combined with me starting my job on November 4th, has made it difficult to be as active I usually am, which has made me sad as I miss everyone a lot!

Now though... Onto the exciting stuff! I'm still managing to get 2/3 hours a day in during the week and am obviously (as we all do ) spamming weekends like there's no tomorrow! I've been saying for a while that my aim was to hit 99 agility on November 16th (2019) and I am so happy to be well on course to achieving this.

I'm guessing you might be asking, why post this in events? Well... I want to solidify what has been, up until now, a very well established by word-of-mouth event occurring on the 16th of November.

Lord Slater and myself had been saying that we should have a joint 99 agility party to celebrate together because it's a wonderful achievement and after speaking about it in the clan chat a few times some other clannies said that they wanted in on the 99 party and would 'save' their 99s for the 16th! And thus, the event was born! I've been busy mid-week with work so have only had the time to post it now but here are the details:

Event Date: 16th of November, 2019 (Next Saturday)

Event Time: I'm hoping to host it soon after the cessation of Pid's usual Saturday PvM event

Event Location: TBC officially, but I was thinking Brimhaven b/c of Izzy being there (though I do realise that
99s being achieved on this day won't just be agility so perhaps we can discuss this further)

Event Details/Information:
- If you're getting a 99, make sure to bring your xp lamp, book of knowledge or necessary equipment to hit the 99
- Though this is a clan event, make sure to bring friends from outside the clan to the gathering so we can all celebrate each other together!
- After the 99s have been achieved, I'll be hosting a special celebratory 2 round Hide 'n' Seek. Each round will have 2 winners, 1st to catch me gets 7m and 2nd gets 3m - that's a total of 20m to be won! (decided to donate half my earnings from the crystals I'll get from 99 agility to this as achieving the cape itself means way more to me)

Here's the current list (to my knowledge) of 99s being achieved on the 16th at this event:

SwekSpek - 99 Mining
Oen - 99 Farming
A I R D S - 99 Cooking
Noble Vegas - 99 Farming (95% sure)

Really looking forward to hopefully seeing as many people there as we can get. Not only is this an incredibly special day for me to be finally achieving my childhood dream 99 goal but it's even more special now that it will be shared with so many others achieving 99s along with their friends and of course everyone that manages to attend from the clan

Yes!! I'm looking forward to this a lot. It's going to be a great party . Nothing beats celebrating your achievements with friends. It's going to be my first 99 so it is special for me and I'm glad I have this great clan to share it with now!

What a great idea...if I hadn't been in the slayer competition, I could have held back on 99 hp...but oh well, and I've nothing else anywhere near...….but its great that you all have.

Okay, that's impossible.. But I'll definitely attend assuming I'm available! As long as people are talking about it in cc/discord so I don't mindlessly runecraft through the entire thing lol

I just did some math and think I can get 99 farming on the 15th.  I'll save it for this, given that I actually find the time to do all of my runs.

I'm planning on doing a small drop party as well, although I can't afford what I wanted to do right now due to buying trees

Well I won't be able to make it Saturday. One of my class groups just made the most important meeting of the semester at the exact time this event starts.

Sorry for the late reply, Mitch. Just want to chime in and say what a wonderful idea this is. I'm sorry I won't be able to participate (just can't seem to muster up the motivation to grind much right now), but I'll be more than happy to watch you guys achieve your goals This has been a long time coming, and I'm glad you're finally about to make it there. You've shown an insane level of dedication!
