New member/player

Hey everyone I am dill!

I'm new the clan and game, I have been playing for a week or so now. I am very thankful to have found OSRS Advice - everyone I've met has been super friendly and I have learned a lot just from reading the clan chat. It has been fantastic to have a great group of people to talk with while learning my way through the game. Runescape is charming and fun, I'm really enjoying it. It's crazy that it took until 2019 for me to try it. I am currently f2p and my goal is to finish all f2p quests and get the majority of skills to 40 before getting member.

About me:

I am an oldschool gamer at heart and began gaming on PC in the early 90's. I was very young during the Lemmings / DOOM / MSDOS days, but remember them vividly. We had a PC that was 63Mhz that I first gamed on. I got more into gaming around 1999 with games like Age of Empires, Tom Clancy's Rogue Spear, Half-Life and Counter-Strike. I also got really into an old MMORPG called Asheron's Call and played it for many years -- my allegiance to that game is probably what prevented me from trying RuneScape for so long. I beta tested WoW and played vanilla to about level 40 but never got very into it in the long run. For many years in the 2010s I administrated for Counter-Strike: Source servers and got very involved with the modded server community there.

Hey Dill, glad to have you and glad to hear you're having a good time so far! I was a huge Age of Empires fan myself way back when haha, one of the first games I grew up with.

Good luck with the questing and skilling, members is a massive difference compared to f2p so if you like the game so far, you've got a whooole lot more ahead of you!
