Back after 17ish years

Hi everyone!
I found out about this clan via the official forums and it sounded like a clan for me Smile

The year is 2000 or maybe 2001.
Me and my buddies had been playing MUDs and FPS for some time when we were introduced to a game called Runescape.
We gathered in the computer lab in school during every single break to play this game and so did many others at the school.. there were literally queues to get a computer to play RS.
During the computer science classes there was not much studying going on everyone fired up a browser with RS instead.
I remember we had a clan that we called "Clan Recon" and me and my friends named our characters with CR_CharacterName.
I quit playing a little after membership and dragon armor was introduced, not because I thought the game was going in a bad direction, but because I went to other games like AnarchyOnline and Ragnarok Online.

Now I'm a 30 year old father to happened to come across an article about RS coming to mobile. And I was like "Hey! That's cool! I'm gonna try it out!" Now I'm sitting here several ours later with a monthly subscription singed up, mining like mad man.
In short.. I'm hooked and I'm having fun.
The only thing that was missing was a friendly social clan to hangout with and this is where you guys will (probably) fit right in!

So get ready for some noob questions! Talk to you in game!

By the way "Skc signup" is that the main clan channel? Trying to figure out how this works Razz

Welcome friend.

The cc is "osrs advice" and the current title is indeed "Skc signup". They usually change the title to make an announcement or if there is an upcoming event. This time there is a Skilling Competition.

Note that registration closes in about 12 hours from now.

Oh that's awesome with some ingame events going on! I think I'll just focus to learn the game for now, but I will follow the competition for sure Smile

Also regarding the Skilling competition, I would put my rsn down there too. There's an 80m prize pool and consolation prizes for people that give it their best. It will run for 2 weeks.
