Hey I'm MatthewJBD & how I met my wife via RS

Hello all!

Thank you to everyone that I have met so far in game for being so welcoming and helpful. Long gone are the days of a toxic community within Runescape (as least what I'm now exposed to) and it's great to see.

I first started playing RS back in 2004, I think it's something like 5098 days ago now according to Hans. I think I quit around the time Construction was introduced and if I ever did dabble in RS after that it was quickly stopped due to the trade and wildy changes which thankfully, the reverted.

I'm 26 and married to the love of my life, in a funny way... Runescape is the reason I met my now wife!

I have a Youtube channel if you get bored and fancy checking it out. Same username "MatthewJBD". - I mainly focused on mobile games like Last Day on Earth: Survival, but haven't played much for probably 6 months. I then did a few videos talking to the camera which I was fairly proud of but I haven't uploaded in a few months. I'm waiting for OSRS Mobile

It's a bit of a long story but lets go... I was 12ish and my now wife doesn't come into it for a while (she obviously was never as cool as me as she didn't play Runescape).

So one night I was slaying Moss Giants like a real badass, and feeling like a bit of a boss I decided to "show off", I started to give all of my loot to this nearby noob (weird way to show off I know). We then got chatting and this noob had the balls to add me! A few weeks later and this noob messaged me, he had managed to grind like no one thought possible and caught up to a similar level to me... Which was great, we could now quest together.... And you'd better believe that now the Boyz was together runescape hoes and goblins everywhere shivered in their boots.

After years of Runescape we also played other games, C&C Generals: Zero Hour springs to mind. Then don't forget MSN, MySpace, Picso (and other games and old school games and social media platforms that my brain has pushed out to make space for other garbage information) we were now pretty tight, even though we'd never met and never been to each others cities. It then turned out that even though he lived a fair bit away from me he actually went to school with my cousin, which was great news! With this tidbit I was finally able to convince my mum that he was not actully sexual predictorial paedophile working a really long con and we were able to become real life friends now too!

But how did you meet your wife I hear you ask? Well many years later of being now real life friends, spending school holidays in each others cities. Eventually my friend who was a couple years older (just a couple mum, honestly, not a kiddie fiddler) then lost focus, he was more interested in getting pussy and he got the dreaded girlfriend... A bit annoying really as I just wanted to play games!

Somehow I started talking to his girlfriends best friend over MSN and I guess we bonded over both wanting to hang out with our respective friends and feeling a bit dumped off and abandoned as "the single one". We both got pretty close and became Internet buddies and eventually then Internet 'boyfriend and girlfriend' (Absolute lad
