Goal: 80+ all stats AND 99 Attack through Slayer

To prevent burn out I am working on 80+ all stats at the same time as 99 Attack Very Happy

I had gathered 50 Brimestone Keys and felt like opening them, got this one Very Happy

Mining, Prayer and Runecraft are my only skills below 80.
I am 78 Runecrafting, 76 Prayer and was 73 Mining.
So I decided to get Mining up first Very Happy

At 75 Mining I unlocked Runite Ores at Blast Mining, which is the method I plan to do 75-99, for now I have banked Lvl 75-80 in Dynamite, investing like 4.5m in dynamite, I plan to track how many ores I get and the profit I get from Smithing, to see if I breakeven or profit from Blast Mining.. but I need Lvl 80 to see the actual numbers for now Very Happy

Idk how you have the patience to save up your brimstone keys. I'm too impatient and open them after every task lol Is there a benefit to waiting to open them or is it just cool getting to do so many at once?

It's really just the satisfaction of opening them at the same time, like opening a bunch of clue caskets at once Razz

And I agree it is a struggle to save Brimstone Keys up.. originally I wanted to save all Keys 95-99 Slayer... but that is unrealistic for me lol. So I made a compromise, I will gather 50 and then take a raincheck and either open all or gather 100..
It just feels so fun to open so many at once and just seeing all that loot in one inventory xD
Especially for me, it is super useful loot Very Happy

Raw Foods for my Cooking, Lots of Yew/Magic Seeds for Farming, Alchables which is always useful! Uncuts for crafting, Dragon Arrow/Dart Tips for whenever I reach the 90s in Fletching, and tons of Iron/Coal ores for Smithing...

Had I been a non-iron, I think it would have been easier to gather them without using them, but the loot is way too amazing on a Hardcore, like I have chosen not to do most bossing, so other Irons get similiar loot from Zulrah/Vorkath... But I chose safety over loot xD

If you're gonna grind blast mine a lot, prepare to be annoyed. Unless jiggleplex finally cleared the dozens of mining bots living there.

The drops have been from Slayer, currently I am working on 99 Hitpoints, after that I will go for 99 Attack... and by then I will see how close Slayer is to 99 and then either take a loooong break from Slayer OR finish Slayer.

In general my aim is to get a lot of pure cash at the moment, since I need Smithing for a lot of diaries and Smithing requires me to buy Gold Ores in shops which needs a lot of Cash.. so even though I may get Whip drops.. they are more to make my bank look good, since a whip is only a 76K Alch xD(Not that I will ever alch them, if anything I can always use them for the Tentacle Whip xD)

I have a very passive view of Pets, if I get them, I will of course be happy, but I will never actively hunt them xD If anything I just want bragging rights
Should get 99 Hitpoints tomorrow and hopefully 99 Attack in the beginning of next month.. and 99 Farming somewhere inbetween since I am 400k from 98 Farming at the moment and I do my Tree runs actively... so lots of 99s in the horizon

Slayer does take a *long* time, but once it's knocked out most skills seem a lot quicker in comparison! Probably the only skill that feels slower than Slayer is maybe Runecrafting, haha.

Aye, Smithing will be a drag for you indeed, but at least you've got goals in mind to supplement the funds!

Pet wise I just want a second one so Rocky doesn't feel so lonely Razz

I'm not fussed on what it is, though I'll probably find myself doing Herbiboar/Wintertodt/Zulrah most often at this point. And Vork whenever I get the energy to finally do DS2 haha Razz

Oof, yes Slayer without a cannon definitely does make it slower, that's for sure! I will admit I didn't even consider that when it comes to being an iron man.

You did mention you were going to be working on Smithing, perhaps you could try to smith yourself cannonballs for xp? It's SIGNIFICANTLY slower than most xp rates, but it would be sort of two point level of good

What this unlocks:
- I get 20 Points instead of 18 per Konar task, which is neat because I plan to use Konar until 99 Slayer lol
- Infinite teleports to Konar instead of 3 per day Very Happy

- 80 Daily Dynamite instead of 40, meaning I save 96.000 gp per day in Mining Investment Very Happy

- +10% More blood runes, cant complain
- 8% chance of catching double fish.. useful for karambwans
- Full Experience from Ashes with Ash Sancitifer, which is just better for my Prayer, currently a Nechryael task in catacombs give 10k pray xp, after today it gives 20k. That is huge, I save 80 Dragon Bones per Nech task Surprised

Due to getting a red wood log, it also allowed me to proceed with the master clue that I have owned since 2018 lol

Basically considering the longterm profit, I had a profit of 5mil during 75-80 Mining, which means I earned +6.45 gp/xp.. this will only rise as I get higher Mining, so I will assume the average is +7.00 gp/xp, which means I will earn 77.136.000 GP profit with 80-99 Mining in pure cash

Fun Fact: For nonirons, they expenses would be 1.330.000 GP instead of 4.9M that I used, so a noniron would have a profit of +11.51 gp/xp, and assuming the average of +12.0 gp/xp, they would earn 132.6M Profit IF THEY PROCESSED THE ORES, and considering it is approx 60-70k xp/h, it is not a bad method for 99 Wink

If they didn't process the ores and just sold the ores directly to Grand Exchange, the profit would be: 9.4 gp/xp for this experiment and assuming 10.0 gp/xp for entire 99 = 110.5M

In short for noniron:
1) Profit if they sell directly to GE = 110.5M
2) Profit if they turn ores into platebodies/rune swords and then Alch = 132.0M
3) Profit if they turn ores into platebodies/rune swords and then GE = 123.7M

Upvoted your experiment, this is a good info that i note up for my future mining, mining has always been profitable but in osrs profit is pretty good.

Any slayer goals?
