We had an amazing vacation

Hi all;

We had an amazing vacation and i wanted to share some of the photos with everyone. We spent six days playing in the Gulf of Mexico. Got to see Dolphins and collect a lot of seashells.  Also in the pictures is a sea star which is different than a starfish.  The star fish has 5 legs the sea star has nine.  I happened to find it on a sandbar with my foot.   I missed my wild and crazy RS family and am glad to be back home.  Two week vacation and two weeks of crafting before the surgeries on my hands. I hope you enjoy the pictures.

it looks really wonderful and very unspoilt, I'm so glad you had a good time, and you seem to have been very inspired and busy making lovely things , I can just picture the pleasure of finding your hoard of shells, I'm a total beech comber, sadly the shells of my childhood are no where near as plentyful these days on our shores in the uk but I still treasure seaglass and shells and small pebbles. I did not know a 9 point star fish existed how amazing. So glad you had a great time , and thanks for sharing.

Ladybird, Sanibel Island in Florida is supposed to be the seashell capitol of the world.  It has a natural shelf on the Gulf of Mexico that brings the shells to shore.  These are all the shells we brought home with us and the Dolphin we saw just offshore.

I missed this! Looks and sounds like a wonderful time.

I love the shell collection! My grandma and I used to pick up shells and interesting rocks all the time when I was a kid. She decorated her front yard with them, and I had a big dish full of them on my dresser. Not quite as interesting as making pretty crafts out of them (seriously, I love what you've done with them!), but I'm happy for the nice memory either way
